Oak Glen students continue to represent the school well in the tri-state area. The Cleda Marie Fitzjohn Memorial Music Trust held their third annual Showcase of Talent on Sunday, April 6. In addition to students from Ohio and Pennsylvania, many Oak Glen students performed.
The Oak Glen Recorder Ensemble (Emily Allen, Kaylee Culbreth, Lili Hughes, Ella Paras, Adyson Parsons, Alex Marchese, Gabe Marchese, and Alexa Shaw) opened the show. Christian Francis and Ella Paras sang a beautiful duet and Ella Paras and Alexa Shaw sang a duet in French. All of the students performed beautifully for the audience which included Mr. John D. Fitzjohn.
Also this week, the OGHS Band was adjudicated with all other bands in WV Region I at the regional band festival. They earned the highest score possible of Superior, with every judge unanimously scoring the band at a superior rating. These pieces and much more will be performed at the spring concert on May 20 at 7PM in the theatre. All are welcome to attend.
