Happy New Year and Welcome to the Spring Semester!

We are delighted to welcome back our returning students and extend a warm greeting to the approximately 75 new students joining the Legacy Campus this week!

A special congratulations goes out to the 36 CNA students who successfully completed their CNA certificates through ACC and sat for their state exams. Additionally, several aviation students are preparing to take their Private Pilot Written Exam, and we are proud to share that 100% of our culinary students passed their ServSafe Certification tests! Your hard work and achievements inspire us all.

As we embrace the new semester, we are excited to introduce a variety of events and activities at the Legacy Campus. This time of year also marks the opening of applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Please refer to the important dates listed below and stay tuned for more updates.

Showcase Night

We were thrilled to have over 1000 people in the building for our second annual showcase and registration info night to learn about all of the opportunities available to DCSD students. We received some great feedback and are grateful for our current students who spent their evening sharing their Legacy Campus experiences.

Propeller Donation

A special thank you to Peter & Jill Czarnowski for their donation of an antique wood Fahlin Propeller (never used). It was discovered as surplus from a 1944 military aircraft powered by the Model L-440 series engine. It now has a home in our Aviation Pathway for future pilots to enjoy.

Our new website’s streamlined design makes it easier and faster for you to access what you’re looking for. Please note that even though we have had several people comb through each new site, we may have missed something along the way with the thousands of pages and tens of thousands of links we have to change. We’re grateful for your patience. Please use this feedback form if you find something that needs to be corrected.

In-person Fridays

Please note that due to school being out on the Monday each of these weeks, both Friday, January 10 and Friday, January 24 will be in-person classes at Legacy Campus. Students should plan on attending in-person for the Monday/Wednesday schedule those days, and van transportation will be provided accordingly. Bell schedules and school calendars can be found on our website HERE.

Applications Open January 10

Applications for the 25-26 School Year will open on January 10th and can be found at legacycampus.org along with the steps to apply. If you have questions, please reach out to counselors at your home high school.

If you are a new student and did not attend our registration night in December, please be sure to attend the make-up registration night on January 22nd from 4:30-5:00pm in rooms 245 and 247 at Legacy Campus.

Career & Hiring Fair - February 2025

Join us as we connect Legacy Campus students with top local employers and partners specifically in these pathways! Students should dress to impress, bring printed resumes, and be prepared to ask questions about future employment & careers. Real, preliminary interviews conducted this day with some local partners. Make connections, walk away with job opportunities, & plan for the next steps in your career!

-- Post-Grad Readiness --

DCSD Legacy Campus Counselors are excited to offer presentations to students in our Legacy pathways that highlight essential skills in today's job markets. The skills that will be highlighted in the months to come are communication skills, professionalism, problem solving, and time management. Legacy Campus is partnering with Junior Achievement to bring presentations on essential job skills and resume building as well as offer mock interview opportunities for our students by pathway. These events will be wonderful opportunities for students to become more prepared for life after high school.
