Welcome back, Spartans! We hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and have enjoyed the last few weeks back on campus. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we are excited for all that is still to come.
Our PTSA Multicultural Fair was an amazing celebration of the many cultures, traditions, and backgrounds that make our school community so special. The evening was filled with energy, laughter, and learning as families came together to share food, music, dance, clothing, art, and customs from around the world. Students had the opportunity to explore new traditions, ask questions, and gain a deeper appreciation for the diversity that surrounds them every day.
From colorful displays and delicious treats to engaging performances and hands-on activities, every corner of the fair offered something exciting to experience. It was inspiring to see families, staff, and students connecting, learning from one another, and strengthening the sense of community that makes our school so unique.
A huge thank you to all of the volunteers, families, and participants who made this event such a success. Your time, creativity, and enthusiasm helped create a memorable evening that celebrated inclusion, unity, and the richness of our school family. We are so proud of the vibrant community we share!
Don’t miss this Thursday night when Mr. Thompson sleeps on the roof! It is sure to be an evening full of fun, excitement, and memories to last a lifetime.
This week also marks the start of Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, which we will kick off by decorating doors around campus. Be sure to check out the flyer and connect with your room parents to stay up to date on all the fun plans we have in store to honor our incredible staff. Newcomb is so fortunate to have the very best teachers, administration, food services team, recreation aides, support staff, and custodial team. Let’s show them just how much we appreciate their time, care, dedication, and support.
We also have the Newcomb Academy Foundation Golf Tournament on May 8. Don’t miss your chance to connect with fellow Newcomb parents, play a few holes, or help make this event the continued success it has been for the past 20 years. Let’s make this 20th anniversary the best one yet!
Then kick back, relax, and enjoy our Parents Night Out BINGO event on Monday, May 11. Thank you to the Newcomb parents who came together to organize and host this fun opportunity to connect and enjoy time together. There is no shortage of amazing families dedicated to bringing the very best to Newcomb, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you!
