Beagle Bulletin October 22, 2026
Lake Bluff Elementary School Family Newsletter
Hello Lake Bluff Families!
Thank you to all the families who attended conferences. Your involvement and collaboration are key to our students’ success. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with you in supporting your child’s learning journey.
A big shout-out to our wonderful PTO for the incredible food during conferences! Our staff felt so appreciated and cared for. Thank you for always going the extra mile to make our school such a special place.
Wednesday"s Anti-Bullying All School Crew was a great success! All students and staff received an orange bracelet as a reminder to choose kindness.
Take a moment to check out our Lost and Found. You may find a missing sweatshirt, jacket, or other item that belongs to your child. Unclaimed items will be donated November 5, so we appreciate your help getting everything back to its owner!
This amazing, sunny, fall weather will be turning cool next week. We have outdoor recess daily so make sure your child is dressed and ready for cooler weather. To prevent mix ups, please label boots, jackets, hats and mittens as many of these items look similar (if not exactly the same!).
Finally, THANK YOU so much for all of your support in making this year's Beagle Dash such a success. We have raised over $37,000!
Warmly,
Johanna French, Principal
Wear Brewers Gear and Colors!
This Friday (10/23) all students and staff at Lake Bluff are encouraged to show their Milwaukee pride and wear Brewers gear or colors to school. Last year's Hot Dog Day shirt is a great option!
School Photo Order Updates
This Friday is Picture Retake Day. Parents interested in a retake, should send the original proof back to school on retake day and notify your teacher of your interest. You will receive a new proof and new deadline for ordering.
Original Day orders are due this Friday, October 23. Orders placed after October 23 will be shipped to the school with the absentee and retake packages.
Anti-Bullying All School Crew
The all school crew was a joyous gathering of all school singing, music by our band, a 6th grade skit, inspiring quotes, and a proclamation from Superintendent Laurie Burgos. Each student and staff member wore an orange bracelet as a reminder that we all belong at Lake Bluff and deserve to feel safe, supported and cared for! This week our teachers and students explored what is funny and what can be hurtful, and how to make sure we are aware of our impact over our intentions.
REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS WHO BRING A PCD TO SCHOOL
All students who bring a PCD to school are required to have a completed PCD form on file.
Important Reminder
In accordance with Shorewood School District Policy:
On school grounds during school hours, PCDs must be powered off, unused, and stored away from students in a designated location, in accordance with the Elementary School PCD Practices.

Thank you for helping us maintain a focused learning environment and supporting our school expectations!
