At Garfield, We Are PAWSitively Awesome!
We show our Tiger Pride by being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind—every day, in every space. Our school-wide theme, Every Day a Learner, reminds us that when we show, we grow. We believe in ourselves and in one another, and we know that every single student will achieve at high levels. Together, we’re going to make every day count. Go Tigers!
Tiger Pride Fridays
We celebrate our Tiger Pride every Friday! Students are encouraged to wear their Garfield Elementary gear to show their school spirit.
All new students—and those who have outgrown their blue Garfield shirts—will receive a new shirt. Distribution will begin September 12 and continue into the following week.

School Supplies
Backpacks and school supplies have been generously donated to Garfield from the Everett Public Schools Foundation Stuff the Bus events so that we may provide all of our students with the supplies they need. First Bell is at 9:10 am, School starts at 9:15 am
Please arrive 9:00 - 9:10 am at the front entrance if walking or getting a ride. Bus riders will be greeted at the bus entrance on Pine Street and brought to their lines. There is no supervision before 9:00 am so there are no students allowed on campus until 9:00 am. Teachers arrive to bring students to classrooms at 9:10 am so that learning begins at 9:15 am in our classrooms.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
To ensure safety and efficiency during drop-off and pick-up, please follow these guidelines:
- Drop-Off: Stay in your vehicle. Have your child exit on the curbside (passenger side/right side) for safety.
- Pick-Up: Stay in your vehicle. Once you reach the pick-up zone, we will call your child to your car. They will enter on the curbside for safety.
If you need to get out of your car, please park in a designated parking area. Parking is available in the school parking lot or along adjacent streets (including 23rd adjacent to the school parking lot). Do not park in the carline including along the fence on 23rd or in the bus zone on Pine Street. All other areas are open for street parking.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our traffic flow smooth!
