MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
Happy February! As we enter the month of love, kindness, and learning, I want to take a moment to share some important updates and reminders with our school community.
1. Celebrating Kindness and Inclusion
February is a wonderful time to focus on kindness, friendship, and respect. We will be highlighting activities that encourage students to support one another and celebrate the unique strengths of every classmate. You can reinforce this at home by talking with your child about ways to show kindness daily.
2. Upcoming Events
-
Valentine’s Day Activities: Our classrooms may have age-appropriate celebrations. Please check with your child’s teacher for details on any classroom parties or exchanges.
-
Black History Month: Throughout February, students will engage in lessons, and discussions celebrating the achievements and contributions of Black individuals and communities.
3. Attendance Matters
As we head into the winter months, it’s important to continue prioritizing regular attendance. Every day at school counts, and being present supports learning, growth, and social connections.
4. Health and Safety Reminders
Please remind your child of proper handwashing, covering coughs/sneezes, and staying home if they feel unwell. Together, we can keep our school community healthy and safe.
5. Parent Engagement
Your involvement makes a difference! We encourage families to stay connected with classroom newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and school events. Your support is key to your child’s success.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We look forward to a month filled with learning, growth, and kindness!
Warm regards,
Jodi Coppolo
Principal

Breakfast and Lunch Menus (click on picture)
School Breakfast/Lunch Program:
Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District has been approved to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), funded by the USDA, which allows all students to eat one breakfast and one lunch at school each day at no charge.
A breakfast consists of four components and a lunch consists of five components. For both breakfast and lunch, three components must be chosen and one must be a fruit or vegetable.
Thank you for your continued support of C-R's Food Service Program, a vital ingredient in your child's education and well being.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact the Radez Cafeteria at 518-294-6621 ext. 4126.
Attendance
Missing school for any amount of time can and will have a negative impact on your scholar's learning, achievement, and grades. When your child must be absent, be sure to let us know the reason for the absences. For absences, we ask for a written note upon your child's return to school.
Helpful Tips:
Important: If you need to pick your child up early from school for an appointment, please send a note with your child to school. The note gives your permission for the change and must include: the reason, the date, usual bus number and the name of the person who will be picking up the child, etc. In the event that you need to call a dismissal change in for your student(s), please follow up with an email to Main Office Secretary (mcdonaldh@crcsd.org). The District policy does not permit phone calls to the school for transportation changes. When you arrive, please ring the doorbell at the main entrance and your child will be brought outside to you for you to sign them out.
- Sample Transportation Change Note: “10/19/24 - Dear Classroom Teacher: I will pick up my son, William Blank, at 1:00 p.m. today, 10/19/24 to go to the dentist. He will not ride bus 13. Thank you, Mrs. Blank” (Be sure to include your child’s first and last name.)
