Important Updates
Academic Planning Night + Course Selection Fair
Academic Planning Night is Monday, February 9, 2026 from 6:00–8:00 PM in the Searcy Cafeteria (families will park in the Searcy parking lot). This is a great opportunity to learn about everything PHS has to offer. You’ll be able to explore options including Programs of Study, Dual Credit & AP, CTE courses and certifications, technical colleges/programs, clubs/organizations, athletics, and fine arts.
Thursday Oiler Time: Course Selection Presentation
This Thursday, students will receive course selection guidance during Oiler Time. Students will report to 4th period for a counseling-created course selection video and materials. Families—this is a great week to ask your student what they learned and what courses they’re considering for next year.

CTE Mini Grant Opportunity
CTE Mini Grant
One new piece we want to highlight is the NBCEA CTE Student Mini Grant. For students interested in Career and Technical Education courses, this grant can help cover costs such as certification fees, testing expenses, project materials, equipment, and uniforms. We don’t want course fees or outside circumstances to be the reason a student opts out of a class that could prepare them for their future. This grant gives students more freedom to say yes to opportunities that genuinely interest them.
Yearbooks and Senior Portraits
Only 600 yearbooks remain for the 2025–2026 school year. Yearbooks are priced at $100, with an optional home delivery upgrade. Orders can be placed through the PHS website or Jostens.com.
Families may also purchase Yearbook Dedications or Recognition Ads, with a firm deadline of May 1. Space is limited, and late submissions cannot be accepted. All ad creation and purchases are completed online, and families may return to edit their designs as often as needed before the deadline.
Senior Portraits:
The last opportunities for senior portraits for the Class of 2026 are quickly approaching. The final deadline to take senior portraits at the studio is February 1 for the 2026 Yearbook.
Senior Portraits taken after the deadline will not be included in the 2026 Yearbook.
