🌎 Community Events and Resources
Our 2025 Playwriting Lab Auditions to be held on Thursday, October 9 at our space (511 W 52nd street in Hell's Kitchen). We would love if you could spread the word to potentially interested students and their parents!
Playwriting Lab is part of our Youth Company programs through which NYC high school students come to our space to learn about dramatic writing, performance, and collaboration by creating original work under the direction of professional theater artists. Playwriting Lab students spend the fall/winter learning about playwriting and honing their voices by writing their own plays under the mentorship of playwright Juan Ramirez Jr.
Playwriting Lab 2025 meets on Tuesdays and Thursday from 4:30 - 6:30 PM, October 14 - December 13. Participation is totally FREE. In fact, every student who completes the program receives a $200 stipend. Students interested in participating can fill out this form to reserve an audition spot. All questions can be directed here or to education@mcctheater.org.
