Dear Argyle ISD Staff & Families,
As the season of Thanksgiving and holiday cheer is upon us, I want to express my gratitude for our incredible Argyle ISD family and supportive community. I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was filled with quality time with family and friends.
As we turn our focus to December, we look forward to enjoying the next few weeks on our campuses filled with learning, laughter, and holiday spirit.
Points of Pride
November has been a remarkable month of celebrations and achievements:

Veterans Day Programs: Heartfelt tributes were held across our campuses to honor our heroes.
District-Wide Multicultural Night: A wonderful celebration of diversity and community.
UIL Success:

Where We’ve Been
Last month, our Board of Trustees received the district demographer’s report and reviewed zoning recommendations for transitioning to two middle schools in 2026 and two high schools in 2027.
Community Feedback: Thank you to the 154 families and staff members who submitted comments, questions, and concerns via the feedback form. All responses were reviewed by district administration and shared with our trustees for consideration.
The next steps will be discussed at the Regular Board Meeting on Monday, December 16 at 6:00 p.m.
Looking Ahead
89th Texas Legislative Session: Beginning in January, this session will address public school funding and other critical topics. Your advocacy matters! Support increased school funding by participating in Take Action Argyle.

Good Tidings for December
In closing, I’d like to share some inspirational words from Retired Command Sgt. Major Gretchen Evans, a proud Argyle ISD community member and Silver Eagle, “Let our words be those which land with kindness, hope, courage, and joy. Our challenge is to think before we respond, respond with the idea that the words will not be forgotten, and ask ourselves if we will be pleased with how the words will land." We are grateful for her words of wisdom and the impact engaged community members like her have on our district family of students, teachers, and staff.
We wish you a joyous December filled with memorable moments, holiday cheer, and a wonderful Christmas break. Thank you for your continued support of Argyle ISD.

Courtney Carpenter, Ed.D.
