BRSD Career Counselling Newsletter

Students may come back from the holidays feeling recharged and ready to focus on the end of their term assessments. This January will look a bit different than in other school years as there are no diploma exams, so be sure to check your post secondary offer about what needs to be updated and how. Your admission letter should outline the necessary steps, or book an appoinment with your career counsellor to see what is next on your to do list.

What a great turnout at our November 19 post-secondary events. Students, parents/guardians, and the community had the opportunity to chat with recruiters from 22 Alberta institutions including the RCMP and the Canadian Armed Forces. These opportunities allow students and families to learn about possibilities for life after high school, available programs, admission requirements and they even grabbed some swag.

ELAA events are held yearly so if you missed out, watch for 2026 dates next fall!
