Mon 30th June

Monday 30th June
A note from Mrs Fitzsimons
In our standardised testing from P3-P7 we had 97% of pupils scoring average or above in Literacy with 58% of those in the above average and well above average bands. In Numeracy we had 97% scoring average or above and 60% of those were in the above average or well above average bands.
I am hugely proud of them all and we celebrate every success here as a school, from excellent academic achievements to getting player of the match at the weekend.
I would also like to thank all the staff for their dedication to Spa Primary, often going way above and beyond to ensure Spa PS is the best it can be. We would not be the school we are without them.
A big thank you to you, as parents, for supporting us all year. Whether that be financially, coming in to speak to the class, spreading positive PR, working with your children at home and creating a positive attitude to school. School would not work without our parent partnerships.
I would also like to thank the local community around us that have invested so much in the school this year. To the Church for allowing us to use their grounds, the local ministers who came in for assembly, Friends of Spa for organising fund-raisers, the Forest School for continued use, Spa Nursing home for looking after us on our visits and Montalto for the use of their grounds. We live in a wonderful community.
Have a really lovely summer with family and friends,
Mrs F
P7 Leavers
We had a brilliant Leavers' assembly on Thursday to say farewell to our P7s. It was an afternoon full of laughter and happy memories and not too many tears. We wish this wonderful bunch of children a happy and fulfilling future.
Thanks for your Support
Parent Information Session
I would really encourage you to take this opportunity to meet the teacher and hear what the year will hold for your child. You will be informed of the main curricular areas covered and how you can best support your child with homework. We look forward to seeing you there.
School Uniform
Applying for Free School Meals
If you think you might be entitled to Free School Meals please go online and check. The support is there for you to assist with meals and uniform. Being on FSM is extremely confidential and at no point would any other child/parent know that this is the case. We also receive additional funding per head of child who is on FSM. If you are already on FSM, you still have to make your application for next year and we would advise you do this as soon as possible as it may not be in place for September otherwise.
If you have any outstanding payments owed on SchoolMoney can you please settle up so we can close down the school year.
