A Week Packed with Paw Pride!
Dear Cold Water Community,
Thank you for your incredible support throughout this fantastic week! It has been a wonderful week filled with rich teaching and learning, strong student ownership, and wonderful moments of celebration.
We capped off the week with plenty of excitement—our kickball team coached by Ms. Chappel brought home a victory, spirited on by the energetic support of our cheer squad! We also had the privilege of recognizing our outstanding Students of the Month during our school assembly.
Additionally, our cheerleaders, coached by Mrs. Southerland, did a phenomenal job participating in the Hazelwood Central High School homecoming parade. They were exceptional, bringing wonderful energy that got the crowd of spectators excited as they represented Cold Water so well!
We are also thrilled to share that our PTA Double Good Fundraiser has been a massive success, raising over $2,000! Thank you all for your tremendous generosity and support. We would like to give a special Round-of-a-Paws to our top sellers:
Marley (1st Grade) – $1,673.00
Nesiah (Kindergarten) – $1,457.00
Emani (4th Grade) – $509.00
Riley Giles (Kindergarten) – $502.00
Thank you once again for your ongoing partnership and dedication to our school family.

Looking for Ways to Get Involved? Speech and Debate is Coming Back!
We are thrilled to announce the return of our Speech and Debate program this school year for students in 2nd through 5th grade! Practices will take place once a week on Thursdays.
Throughout the year, participating students will have the exciting opportunity to compete in multiple tournaments, strengthen their literacy and public speaking skills, and earn wonderful rewards along the way.
Please keep an eye out for additional details and registration information coming in the next few days. We look forward to an inspiring year!
Annie's Hope Grief Support Groups
We understand that the loss of a loved one can be an incredibly difficult experience, especially for children. To support our students during such challenging times, we will be partnering with Annie's Hope and offering grief support groups this school year.
These small groups will provide a safe and supportive space for students who have experienced the death of a family member. Led by our trained professionals, the sessions will focus on helping students express their feelings, learn healthy coping strategies, and connect with others who may be experiencing similar emotions.
If your child has lost a loved one and you believe they would benefit from participating in a grief group, please don’t hesitate to reach out and fill out the form below. Participation is completely voluntary, and all information will be handled with care and confidentiality.
