The Cougar Connection
July 31, 2026
Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!
Dear Cougar Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are thrilled to be connecting with you through The Cougar Connection, our school-wide newsletter designed to keep families informed about important events, celebrations, reminders, and opportunities happening at Cougar Elementary. You can expect Cougar Connection to be published twice each month, providing a consistent way for us to share school updates and strengthen the partnership between home and school.
As we prepare for another incredible year, our administrative team wants you to know that the safety and well-being of every student remains our highest priority. Whether it's physical safety, emotional well-being, or creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, we believe students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and valued. By working together with our families, we can ensure every Cougar has the opportunity to thrive.
We are incredibly excited about the year ahead and have so many great things in store for our students, staff, and families. We encourage you to pay special attention to the Open House information below. Open House is one of the best ways to start the school year, giving students the opportunity to meet their teacher, explore their classroom, and begin building the relationships that will help make this a successful and memorable year. We can't wait to welcome you to Cougar Elementary and begin another amazing year together!

Ms. Reardon, Assistant Principal

Complete your registration!
Parents of returning students must access the PowerSchool Enrollment online forms through the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://mpark.powerschool.com/public. The online forms contain demographic and emergency information you entered last year. You must verify the information is accurate or update any information that has changed. Parents will also electronically sign annual agreement forms for school district policies.
At least one parent is required to create a PowerSchool Parent account. If you have multiple children in Manassas Park City Schools, you must verify information for each student, however only one parent account is necessary.
• If you have created a PowerSchool Parent Portal account in a previous school year, please use that account to log in. Please do not create a new account.
• If you have not created a PowerSchool parent account, directions can be found at https://www.mpark.net/resources/for_parents/power_school_for_parents
If you have questions about your account, please contact your child’s school for assistance.
