Noble Family Newsletter

At Noble Elementary, we believe that every student has the right to learn and grow in a safe and respectful environment. We also believe that every student has the power to make positive choices, learn from mistakes, and become stronger leaders in our school community. Noble Elementary empowers all students for college and career readiness through AVID’s schoolwide focus on WICOR, student success skills, and a growth mindset.
Dear moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, neighbors, and friends - we wish you a Happy Mother's Day! Your unwavering strength, love, and encouragement inspire our students to achieve their dreams and we are so grateful for all that you do. Let's take a moment to show our appreciation for the incredible women who make our lives so much brighter. A mother’s love can be regarded as the most selfless, kind, and unconditional love. It is one of the purest forms of love, and there are very few words that can clearly define its value or meaning. We recognize and celebrate our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and all the women who make a positive impact in our lives each day!
Our Staff Appreciation Week was a resounding success, and we are still buzzing from the energy and gratitude that filled our halls! This wonderful week wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of our community. We want to extend a massive thank you to the Noble PTA, as well as Natalie and Mike Thomas and Aaron and Irene Fischer, for their exceptional generosity and dedication to making our team feel celebrated. We also owe a debt of gratitude to Ms. Murray, Ms. Steplight, and our campus administration for their thoughtful planning and coordination in ensuring every detail was perfect. Most importantly, thank you to our phenomenal staff for the passion they bring to our students every single day. We are so grateful to our families for helping us honor the hard work and heart that make our school such a special place!
The Best Position
Noble Families,
We hope you and your children had a restful and restorative weekend! As we head into the final stretch of the school year, it is hard to believe we have just 14 instructional days remaining.
This month marked a significant milestone as our students in grades 3–5 completed their OST testing. We are so proud of the focus and effort they displayed! While we expect official results later this month, this moment allows us to reflect on the incredible progress our students have made throughout the year. For our K–2 students and select third graders, our focus now shifts to the Acadience and MAP assessments, which provide us with valuable insights to help guide our final weeks of instruction.
This remains a critical time for our school community. We are dedicated to maintaining strong routines, reinforcing key skills, and fostering meaningful engagement in every classroom. The work we do together over these next few weeks—both academically and in our relationships—sets the tone for how our students close out this year and how they will re-enter in the fall.
Our theme this year, “Restoring Noble Pride,” continues to take on deeper meaning. Even through seasons of change and challenge, our focus has remained exactly where it belongs: on your children. That shared commitment between our staff and your families is what defines us as a team and makes Noble such a special place. We still have plenty of learning and celebrating to do, and we are committed to finishing this school year strong alongside you!
Mr. Walker, M.Ed.
Principal
From the Assistant Principal's Desk
Noble Families,
We are still smiling after a truly fantastic Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. It was a joy to celebrate the incredible educators and support staff who pour their hearts into our students every single day. We are also incredibly proud to share that our PBIS team has officially applied for Red Ribbon recognition, a testament to the positive behavior, growth, and engagement our students continue to show.
As we navigate these final weeks of the school year, staying consistent remains our top priority. We are so close to reaching our year-end goals! Thank you for your continued partnership in prioritizing daily attendance and helping your children maintain their routines as we head toward the finish line.
Finally, please join us in a huge congratulations to Mr. Walker, who was recently named an Admin of the Year finalist for CH-UH! This honor is incredibly well-deserved and reflects the leadership and care he brings to Noble every day. Thank you for your continued support and for helping us make last week so special for our team!

Froggy’s Lemonade Stand (Pre-K & Kinder)
Pre-K and Kindergarten are excited to be participating in Noble’s One School, One Book initiative! This community-wide experience is all about building literacy and connection across all grade levels.
Your child should have received their very own copy of Froggy’s Lemonade Stand—the special book selected for our preschool and kindergarten learners (since the schoolwide book, The Lemonade War, is geared toward older students).
We encourage you to enjoy this story together at home! You can use this read-aloud if you'd like:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x90n6b
At this age, it is completely appropriate (and beneficial!) for children to read and reread the same book many times. You might notice them:
• retelling the story using the pictures
• acting out parts of the story
• joining in with repeated phrases
• noticing new details each time
This is all part of strong early literacy development!
Lemonade War (Grades 1-5)
Noble is officially launching the One Book, One School reading adventure featuring The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies! Over the coming weeks, students will receive their own copy to read in class, and families are being encouraged to follow along at home using the reading calendar and online resources like read-aloud videos and trivia. This community-wide initiative aims to build literacy and connection across all grade levels, culminating in our annual Literacy Night on May 14 from 5:00–6:30 p.m. Please help us build excitement in your classrooms as we squeeze every drop of fun out of this shared reading experience!
