Dear Families,

It’s hard to believe we’re already wrapping up the first trimester! We have truly enjoyed getting to know your child over these past couple of months and watching them grow. Report cards will be available to view in Skyward or sent home on paper on November 13th. You’ll notice that report cards use standards-based grading rather than traditional letter grades. This means you’ll see how your child is progressing with specific skills and learning goals, rather than receiving just one overall grade. We’ve included a brief explanation to help understand what each level means. If you have any questions or would like to talk through your child’s progress, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their classroom or special education teacher. We’re always happy to partner with you and continue supporting your child’s learning.

On Monday, November 10th we will be celebrating Veteran's Day with our special guests. Students are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to honor our veterans and service people. We are excited to share our thanks with our community members and celebrate of our school focus of patriotism for November.

Make it a great weekend, Eagles!

Food Support and Resources

As the federal government shutdown continues, many families across Saginaw County are facing uncertainty around food access. Temporary pauses in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) benefits, along with many government employees currently going without pay, are creating real challenges for our neighbors.

As part of our mission to serve, innovate, and empower, Saginaw ISD is sharing key local and regional resources to help ensure families, children, and individuals have access to the support they need during this time.
