Meadowood Mile Meadowood Mile

On Friday, May 8th students across the Meadowood Program gathered at McKean HS for the 4th Annual Meadowood Mile Health Fair and PBIS Celebration. This event combines health education with celebrations to honor our students' positive behavior and promote healthy lifestyles. Staff and students walked a mile around the track, stopping at various health stations focusing on healthy eating, movement, mental wellness, hydration and more! PBiS celebrations included sensory bin stations, a tattoo station, photo station, and a dance party. Check out Meadowood's Facebook Page for pictures of the day.

Dravet Syndrome Awareness Month

Dravet Syndrome Awareness Month takes place each June in the U.S., and International Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day is observed on June 23rd. By raising awareness of Dravet syndrome, our community can increase knowledge in the general public; improve early diagnosis; assure that patient families have the information they need to manage their loved one’s care; and reduce the feelings of isolation faced by patients and their families. This June, purple isn’t just a color – it’s a movement. Join the Purple Drives Progress Challenge and help move research, awareness, and hope forward for families living with Dravet syndrome.
