Dear AES Families,
We are excited to share a few updates with you this week!
Our updated Eagle Up cards are now in place, focusing on grit, self-control, and integrity as we continue building strong character across our school. Please note that as part of this new process, we will no longer be making phone calls home when cards are earned.
On Monday, August 25th, our PTO will kick off the discount card fundraiser. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our school, as 100% of the profits go directly back to our students. We are so grateful for your continued support!
Sign-ups are still open for parent volunteers. I’ll be reaching out this week to everyone who has signed up to help, and we’ll also be scheduling a PTO meeting soon to get this school year off to a great start.
Finally, a special thank you to our PTO for the thoughtful survival kits they prepared for our teachers—they were very much appreciated!
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community.

We apologize for all the issues with PikMyKid last week. We are hopeful that we are back on track for a smooth dismissal!
Here is a message from PikMyKid:
Parents--
The Pikmykid system has had some repeated outage issues related to Microsoft that impacted your dismissal processes. We understand this is frustrating during the start of a new school year and are committed to our support of not only school staff, but also the entire school community. We are working diligently with our tech team & Microsoft Engineers to prevent this from occurring again. While we do not foresee this to be a continued concern, please be sure to display car tags for added security and in case of any temporary process changes. Your school leaders & staff are working hard to keep dismissal times safe & efficient, and we are proud to support them. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
--The Pikmykid Team
As mentioned in the message above, we are working hard to make dismissal run safely and efficiently for you and your children. See the graphic below for information on how you can help with this as well. Thank you for your patience!
