Hello Hyatt Families,

As we welcome the arrival of spring, we are reminded of the beauty of growth, renewal, and change—especially after a long Michigan winter. This season brings a sense of fresh energy and optimism, as well as opportunities to reflect on how far we’ve come and all that lies ahead. With change often comes new beginnings, meaningful opportunities, and moments worth celebrating.

In that spirit, I would like to share that Mrs. Carter has accepted a new role at our administrative building. While this marks a change for our school community, it is also an exciting opportunity for her to expand her impact and support our entire district in new ways.

Mrs. Carter has been an incredible part of our school, and her commitment, support, and genuine love for our children have made a lasting difference. We are deeply grateful for all she has given to our students, staff, and families over the years.

Please join me in thanking Mrs. Carter for her dedication and in wishing her continued success in this next chapter. We are fortunate that she will remain with us through the remainder of the school year and will also be involved in the process of selecting her successor, helping to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.

Spring reminds us that change can be both meaningful and hopeful. We look forward to finishing the year strong together and continuing to grow as a community.

SOAR DAY - May 22nd SOAR DAY - May 22nd

SOAR Day is back, and it's going to be a blast! 🎉 A day to celebrate our amazing children with tons of activities, bounce houses, games, and endless fun! Grade level shirts are color coordinated to create unity and support supervision during this time. Finally, this event wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers and the entire community! We’re so grateful for your contributions, and we can't wait to see everyone come together for a day full of excitement and joy Please remember to get your ICHATs completed if you plan on attending and mark your calendars – you won’t want to miss this unforgettable celebration!

Teacher Requests Teacher Requests

As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, please know that we take great care in creating balanced and supportive class lists for all students. Many factors are thoughtfully considered in this process, including academic needs, learning styles, social dynamics, and overall classroom composition. While we truly value parent input as one piece of information in understanding your child, we are not accepting specific teacher or placement requests for the upcoming school year. Our goal is to ensure equitable, well-balanced classrooms where every child can thrive, and we appreciate your trust in our professional judgment and commitment to your child’s success.

SOAR Expectations

We are continuing to SOAR at Hyatt as part of our district mission to support a positive culture in our schools! Our goal is to teach desirable behaviors that will serve our children well everywhere in our community and beyond! Throughout their day we focus on Staying Safe, Offering Kindness, Acting Responsibly, and showing Respect. The children are recognized individually with SOAR tickets and weekly through grade level drawings with donated prizes from our supportive P.A.L.S group, McDonalds, and Mancinos. This is a community commitment and something we are proud to support.
