October is filled with opportunities for our families to learn, connect, and have fun together! Be sure to watch for upcoming family events, Parent University opportunities, and ways you can get involved at school.

Remember, family engagement is a partnership—and we are better together! If there is ever anything I can do to help connect your family with our school, resources, or opportunities, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Panda Families-

Our Title I Guidebook for the 2026/2027 school year is now available. You can find a link to view the guidebook below, on our social media page, and in the Family Engagement monthly newsletter.

Please remember that this Guidebook is different from the Online District Handbook. https://dpps.hcbe.net/familyengagement

ALL Car Riders must go through the CAR RIDER LINE (Morning and Afternoon)

School doors open @ 7:45am (Please do not leave your child unattended)

• Free breakfast and lunch for all students.
• Classes begin @ 8:30am
  
• TARDY: Students must be signed in by a parent /guardian through the office
• Changes in Transportation: Please call the office (478-218-7500)
• Parents/Guardians, please bring your I.D. with you every time.
• Dismissal @ 3:30pm
• Helpful: Label your child's belongings (sweaters, jackets, bookbags, etc.)

🎉🐼 BIRTHDAY LUNCH WITH YOUR PANDA! 🐼🎉

We’re excited to announce a NEW birthday tradition at David Perdue Primary School! 🎂❤️

Who Can Attend?

• Parents and special guests are invited to enjoy lunch with their Panda.

• Each Panda may have up to 2 guests.

Lunch Options

• Bring a special lunch from home, or

• Purchase a school lunch.

🎂 Birthday Eligibility

If your child’s birthday falls during the school year and has not already passed, you are welcome to come on your child’s birthday and enjoy lunch with your Panda!

For birthdays that fall outside of the regular school year or during a school holiday, please follow these guidelines:

• August or early September birthdays: Since the school year is already underway, if your child’s birthday has already passed, you may come anytime this month or October to celebrate.

• June or July birthdays: Celebrate anytime during April or May.

• Birthdays during school holidays: Celebrate the week before or the week after the birthday.

📌 Important Reminders

• All guests must check in at the front office before heading down to the cafeteria for lunch.

• This is a special one-on-one time for you and your Panda! Please note that siblings may not be pulled from their classrooms to join the birthday lunch.

• Pandas may not be checked out of school for their birthday lunch. However, if you choose to check out your student after their birthday lunch and before 12:00 noon, the early checkout will be considered an unexcused absence.

The Panda Store is a special place where students can spend their Panda Bucks on fun rewards like candy, small toys, or even classroom popsicle parties! Students earn Panda Bucks by: • Completing their homework E • Showing kindness to others • Helping teachers or classmates • Living the Panda Expectations every day!
