101 Dalmations Spring Musical
Dear Students and Parents,
We are pleased to announce that in partnership with the Disney Musicals in Schools Program, our school will be presenting a musical production of 101 Dalmatians in the Spring of 2025! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their talents and be involved in a collaborative and creative project.
Student Information Meeting: We will hold an introductory meeting to musical theater for the interested students in grades 3rd thru 5th on January 8th & 9th in the auditorium from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. All participating students are expected to attend rehearsals every Wednesday & Thursday. Please provide your student with a snack on those days.
Parent Information Meeting: We will be holding a parent information meeting during Pizza with the Principal on January 8 at 5:30pm in the Library to discuss the production in more detail and address any questions you may have. Please contact Mrs. Wright for any questions, liwright@dallasisd.org.
Audition Process: Interested students in grades 3rd thru 5th, please complete the attached interest form and return it to Mrs. Wright or Ms. Acevedo Negron by January 8th. Auditions will be held on January 15th & 16th (if necessary.)
Students in grades PK-2 will have the opportunity to be involved during Music class. More information will be shared at a later date.
We believe that participating in the school musical is a valuable experience that can foster students’ confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills. We look forward to seeing your children shine on stage!
Sincerely,
Lipscomb 101 Dalmatians Production Team
Dear Fifth-Grade Parents,
As we prepare for an exciting Spring semester, we are thrilled to share an opportunity we’re considering for our fifth-grade students: a three-day, two-night trip to Collin County Adventure Camp in Anna, Texas, from April 28-30, 2025.
Why is this camp so important?
This camp offers a hands-on educational experience where students will engage in interactive science lessons, team-building activities, and outdoor exploration in a fun and supportive environment. It’s designed to inspire both academic and personal growth, while also creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds among classmates.
In fact, after surveying our students, we’re excited to report that over 90% of them expressed enthusiasm about attending this camp!
What can parents expect?
We are confident that this experience will have a positive impact on your child, fostering growth in confidence, teamwork, and a love for science. We are also working diligently to secure funding so that all students have the opportunity to participate.
To get a better sense of what the camp looks like, here’s a video link to another DISD school’s experience (minute 16:57).
For more details about the camp schedule and activities, please click here. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our goal is to make this an enriching and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
We look forward to partnering with you to make this trip a reality for our students!
Please fill out the interest form by January 17, 2025
Sincerely,
AP Yetts and the Fifth-Grade Team:
Ms. Armenta, Ms. Bustos, and Ms. Dia

Hygiene Products and Winter Clothing
We are excited to share that we now have a hygiene closet stocked with male and female products available for any family in need. Additionally, as the temperatures drop, we are providing winter coats to ensure our students stay warm during the colder months.
If your family could benefit from either resource, please reach out to Counselor Green (lwinfield@dallasisd.org) . We will discreetly ensure your student is sent home with what they need. We’re here to support our Lipscomb Lions!
Cold Weather Conditions
When the outside temperature or wind chill dips below 32°F, recess will move indoors to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. During outdoor activities, staff will keep a close eye on students, particularly those with health conditions, to make sure they're warm and comfortable.
