Recently, some of our English 12 students traveled to Hope College with Mrs. Hanus and Ms. Medema to see Hamlet at the Knickerbocker Theatre. After the performance, our students had a chance to meet and greet the Actors from the London Stage!

According to the BACC calendar of events that was shared earlier in the year, BACC was scheduled to be closed on February 14th. We were informed late last week that BACC will now be open in the morning on that date.

February 14th is a half day of school for all. Students who attend BACC in the morning will attend as usual. BACC will be closed in the afternoon and therefore students who attend BACC in the afternoon will only attend their regularly scheduled morning classes at BJSHS and will not go to center in the afternoon.

Attention BHS seniors, the local scholarship application is now online! Applications are due by noon on March 7th. Be sure to get in contact with Mrs. Furney or Mrs. Bracy if you have questions or need assistance.

After School Academic Support continues to be available to students during the 2nd semester.

After School Academic Support occurs each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. to students in 6th - 12th grades. During this time student can access homework help, support with study skills, tutoring, or simply a quiet place to work. For more information, students are encouraged to see Ms. Blemaster, Ms. Beck, Mrs. Franks, Ms. Medema, Ms. Mudd or Ms. Smith.

The Viking Care Center was established as a way to give students and their families help by providing items that are needed. We have clothing, some outerwear, hats, and gloves, shoes, toiletries, some food items, and some laundry products available at the school. Please have your child talk with someone here at school or feel free to contact the office about the needs your family may be facing. We would love to help!
