🍂 October Principal’s Message 🍂
Dear Families,
As we step into the beautiful month of October, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. The fall season brings a sense of renewal, reflection, and excitement, and our campus is buzzing with learning, creativity, and community spirit.
October is a special time at our school — from celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month to preparing for fall festivals and classroom activities, our students are engaged in meaningful experiences that enrich their academic journey. We also emphasize kindness, responsibility, and respect as part of our PBIS focus this month.
Please keep an eye out for upcoming events, parent-teacher conferences, and opportunities to volunteer. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference, and we are grateful for the time and energy you invest in our school.
Let’s continue to work together to make this school year one of growth, joy, and success for every child.
Thank you for partnering with us to celebrate the vibrant heritage that helps shape our school and our world.
Wishing you a wonderful October filled with warmth and connection!
With appreciation,
Melissa Martinez
Principal
COMMUNITY NOTIFICATIONS OF LOCKDOWN DRILL
Dear Stallion Families,
As we maintain our focus on campus safety and security, we wanted to inform you that we will be conducting a practice LOCKDOWN drill during the week of OCTOBER 20-24, 2025. We want to ensure that all students, staff, and visitors are prepared in the event of any emergency, including what actions should be taken during a LOCKDOWN. Practice of emergency procedures through drills and training can reduce confusion.
We will not be conducting any live scenarios during our LOCKDOWN drill, meaning there will be no loud simulations, blank rounds, or explosive sounds.
“DRILL IN PROGRESS” signage will be posted at the front entrance to the school building.
NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR EXIT THE BUILDING DURING THE DURATION OF THE LOCKDOWN DRILL.
We invite you to review the I Love U Guys Standard Response Protocols on our district’s safety and security website http://www.judsonisd.org/safetyandsecurity. Thank you for your continued support.
NOTIFICACIONES A LA COMUNIDAD SOBRE SIMULACRO DE CIERRE DE EMERGENCIA
Queridas Familias Stallion,

Judson ISD Communication App
Beginning September 1st
Judson ISD Launches New App to Simplify School Communication
JISD Families,
We are always working to improve and simplify communication between you, your campus and the district. Knowing what’s happening at your child’s school and keeping up with your child’s coursework and their teachers directly impacts their well being both in the classroom and at home. School communication plays a big part in all of this, but it’s often not set up to be as simple and easy to access as it could be.
Judson ISD is excited to announce the launch of a new district app designed to streamline communication between families, campuses, and the district. This all-in-one platform makes it easier than ever to stay informed and connected to your child’s education.
Key Features of the App Include:
Live feed updates
District and school news
Event calendars
Breakfast and lunch menus
Push notifications for urgent announcements
Introducing “Rooms” – A New Parent-Teacher Communication Tool
Rooms allows for two-way messaging with teachers and staff, classroom updates, behavior tracking, and automatic translation, making it easier to support your child’s learning and celebrate their achievements.

Arrival & Dismissal Traffic
Selma families please be sure that we are following our traffic plan for arrival and dismissal.
At arrival please do not park in the car line and walk up to the door, we need to keep the car rider line moving, if your students need help, our staff will help them out of the car
At dismissal it is important to have your car tag to ensure the safety of our students. The safety of all is important to us so we also ask you not to exit your vehicle while actively in the dismissal lane.
We do not allow early dismissal after 2:30 and walk ups during the time of dismissal. Please be sure you have your blue card on the dash of your vehicle, if you do not have it, we will ask you to park and come inside to school to receive a new card with your identification.
All walkers should walk home safely along the sidewalk, it is not a car rider pick up location.
