The B.Y.E. Buzz

There is no school on Monday, September 1st due to Labor Day. Our Curriculum Parent Night will be Tuesday. This is an adult meeting, students do not need to attend.

Reminder: Breakfast is free this year but students must arrive early to eat. Students need to be in the cafeteria by 7:40 if they want to eat breakfast.

On Friday, we will have a hat day to support the Springdale Shop with a Cop program. Wear a hat and bring $1 (or more) to donate to Shop with a Cop.

Birthdays

We are excited to offer families the opportunity to celebrate their child’s birthday by displaying a Happy Birthday on our outdoor digital sign!

The happy birthday will be displayed during your child’s birthday week.
The cost is $10 and can be paid online or in the school office.
Please complete the Birthday Form to reserve your child’s spot.
If our marquee has technical difficulties at any time, we will ensure the message runs longer once it is back up and running.

As a reminder, we are unable to allow families to provide treats at school for student birthdays. We have 9 set food days where treats can be provided. However, this digital Happy Birthday is a wonderful way to celebrate your child’s special day!

BYE Chess Club

Calling all young thinkers! The Elementary School Chess Club meets MOST Fridays from 3:10 to 4:00 PM—and everyone is welcome, including beginners! Whether you're new to the game or already love a good checkmate, come learn strategies, make new friends, and have fun. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a great attitude! Sign up today!

Students will be bringing home a copy of our attendance policy. Please review, sign and return. It is important to contact the school if your child will be absent. Send all medical notes to the office or email them to Ms. Kayla at kayla.rodriguez@sdale.org. If your child is checked out regularly for ongoing therapy or medical appointments, please have the provider write a note with the standing appointment times/days so we can excuse those absences. The Duck Race

The Springdale Duck Race is coming soon! Anyone can purchase a duck for a specific classroom or school. If that duck wins the race, that school/classroom will win a $1,000 grant to use during the year for materials or a project of their choosing.
