If your child carries medication at school, please remember that a doctor’s order must be on file with the health room. This includes medications that students are permitted to self-carry.

Students may not bring or use medication at school without the required medical documentation. Please contact the health room and/ or click here if you have questions or need to provide an updated medication order.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and in compliance with school medication policies.

🎉 The Boyertown Rotary 5K Fall Frolic Was a Huge Success! 🍂📚

What a wonderful day of community, reading, and running! The Boyertown West community came together for the Boyertown Rotary 5K “Fall Frolic,” and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who participated!

🏅 Boyertown West brought home lots of medals! Congratulations to Officer McMahon and Mrs. Renninger on their first-place finishes, and to the many West students who also earned medals for their outstanding performances!

📚 Our Book Reading Station gave children the opportunity to explore books, read independently, and share stories with younger readers. Families also enjoyed the Reading in the Park story along the 1-mile trail, featuring poems written by our talented Boyertown youth.

A huge thank-you to everyone who participated, volunteered, cheered on the runners, and helped make this event such a memorable celebration of literacy, fitness, and community spirit!

❤️ Way to go, Boyertown West! We’re so proud of our students and staff!

Welcome Ms. Stenman!

Hello, MSW families! My name is Caity Stenman, and I am excited to join the Boyertown Middle School West community as the new 8th Grade School Counselor. This is my sixth year as a school counselor, and I am looking forward to getting to know the students and families of MSW and supporting our students throughout their 8th grade year.

I earned my B.A. in Psychology and my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Eastern University. Prior to joining Boyertown, I worked as a school counselor in the Tredyffrin-Easttown, Twin Valley, and Haverford Township school districts. My experiences in these districts have given me the opportunity to work with students and families in a variety of school communities, and I am excited to bring that experience to MSW.

A little bit about me outside of school: I live in Royersford with my family. My son was born in July, so we are enjoying all the excitement that comes with welcoming a new baby into our family! We also have a dog named Iris and a cat named Xena, who keep things busy at home. I grew up in Collegeville and attended Spring-Ford High School, so working in this area is especially meaningful to me.

I am thrilled to be part of the Boyertown community and look forward to building relationships with students and families throughout the year. My goal is to make sure every student feels supported, heard, and encouraged as they navigate the many academic, social, and personal experiences that come with middle school. I can't wait to meet you and your students!

Word on Wednesday Club

Open to students in grades 6–8, the club is led by 7th and 8th-grade student leaders. Members will read the Bible and Daily Devotionals, memorize Bible verses, and write in prayer journals. The leaders will organize games and crafts, teach Bible lessons, and provide a snack. We’re excited to see students learn, share, and grow together!

Both East and West Middle Schools have invited Mr. John Halligan as a guest speaker to share his story of his son Ryan. Mr. Halligan will also share information about underlying mental health conditions that contributed to Ryan’s death. Mr. Halligan will be offering a parent preview on October 20, 2026 at 7pm in the MSW auditorium. Please see the attached letter for more information.

Title I Program Information

Boyertown, Colebrookdale, Earl and Washington are the identified Title I elementary schools in our district. Middle School West is also identified as a Title I school. These schools receive Title I funding based on the percentage of low-income eligible students.

Title I is a federally funded program purposed with ensuring all children have a fair and equal opportunity to learn and grow. Boyertown has transitioned to a Schoolwide Title I program. A Schoolwide program is designed to serve all students in a Title I building and improve all structures to help support student learning. Our Schoolwide plan was developed with the help of parents, community members, teachers, and administrators. Our plan is evaluated annually to determine the impact that these supports have on student achievement.

As a Schoolwide Title I building, the staff is reviewing all students' data to determine needs. Students are identified for intervention if in need of academic support, primarily in the area of reading. All students receiving additional support must qualify through our district assessments. Support is provided to the students individually or in small groups both in class and as a pullout program. Schools set a goal for academic progress that will be measured through mid-year and end-of-the-year assessments. The Reading Specialists, Intervention teachers, paraprofessionals, and classroom teachers partner together to support students.

Our district works diligently to use the Title I funds as required and to provide these additional services to enhance the educational program of our Title I students. If you have any questions about the Title I program, please reach out to your building's reading specialist or call the Title I office at (610) 369-7414.
