Course request forms and Heyward applications can be found here. Please review your students current schedule so that you are able to make decisions for classes for next year.
If your student is interested in any of Heyward's programs, the application must be completed and returned to their counselor no later than Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Juniors and Seniors! HBCU College and Career Fair
We are excited to announce the first CACDST HBCU College and Career Fair taking place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Jackson Leadership Academy in Camden, SC. This FREE event will serve as a premier gateway for high school students to engage with representatives from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), career professionals, and individuals who help preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the African American community.
This fair offers a powerful opportunity for students to explore college pathways, career possibilities, and cultural legacy. Students will be able to gather information, ask questions, and build meaningful connections that support their academic and professional futures. Register here.

Job Shadowing Day is Friday, January 30
Job shadowing is an academically motivating educational activity for students to observe the world of work. These work-based learning experiences allow students an opportunity to explore a career of interest and connect the skills learned in school to the workplace. Make sure your student takes advantage of this opportunity. Permission Forms and Business Partner Information Forms are due Monday, January 26, 2026. Be sure your student returns the completed Observation Form on/or before February 6, 2026, in order for the absence to be excused.
