Principal's Note

Happy Thursday, middle school families! We have officially entered the month of April and are in the final quarter of the school year. This last stretch is always a busy and exciting time, but our goals remain the same. We want to see every student finishing strong. We are asking for your continued partnership to ensure our students maintain their focus, put forth their best academic effort, and continue demonstrating Christlike character each day. We greatly appreciate your partnership.

Before we dive into the busyness of the upcoming weeks, I also want to pause and reflect on the true joy of this coming weekend. We pray that your family has a wonderful and blessed Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Savior.

Prior to Spring Break our 7th Grade English class was working on creating Autobiographies of their life. As part of this project, they were asked to bring something that represented who they are.

Middle school is an important time for students to discover their unique, God-given gifts, and it takes courage to stand up and share those details in front of their classmates. We were incredibly proud not only of the presenters for their excellent public speaking but also of their classmates for being such a respectful and encouraging audience.

Student Council Applications Open for Next Year Student Council Applications Open for Next Year

We are excited to share that your student is invited to apply for Middle School Student Council for the upcoming school year! Applications are now available from your Advisory teacher, outside Mrs. Franck's classroom, or you may print the attached application and teacher recommendations form. Our deadline for the applications is April 10th.

Students who serve on Middle School Student Council will meet weekly to plan fun projects and activities that engage the student body, as well as opportunities to serve and support our school community. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to grow your leadership skills.

Please see Mrs. Oase or Mrs. Flaaten with any questions.

Chapel Recap: 3/31 Easter Chapel Chapel Recap: 3/31 Easter Chapel

Psalm 145:4 says, "One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts." This verse is a challenge to all of us to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ to the next generation. This week in chapel, we witnessed just that. In the second staff-led chapel this year, which included staff leading us in worship, students experienced staff who were bold in proclaiming the goodness of God. Our very own and beloved, Ms. Sharieon Long, brought the word, reminding students of the weight that Christ bore on the cross, pointing to the upcoming Easter season. Because of Him, we can withstand the schemes of the enemy, no matter how daunting it may seem. Generations worshiped, prayed, and read the word together in the chapel this week. A huge shoutout to all the staff who made this chapel special, and we would like to give special attention to Mrs. Katie Laing for making it happen.

Also, on April 14th, we will have our annual "Baptism Chapel." Pastor Dustin will be speaking on baptism next week and will invite any student in 5th-12th grade who desires to be baptized on the 14th. We take baptism very seriously and would like to partner with you if your child decides to be baptized. All parents/guardians will be made aware if your student wishes to participate, and will be asked to give permission for their child to partake in the event.

Happy Easter!

Seek the King, He is so worth it.

Mr. Agrimson
