Pyramid Model @ MCP3

MCP3 has been working hard this year to implement the Pyramid Model across our program in order to support the social and emotional development of the scholars in our care. On the mid-year survey, 98.3% of our families stated that they feel their child is being supported emotionally and 91.7% stated that they see growth in their child's social skills! Many of our families also indicated that they would like more information about the Pyramid Model so we are including information in our weekly newsletters. Be sure to check out the images below for more details and the survey data results.

MCP3's Pyramid Model Leadership team includes Ms. Perine, Ms. Peterson, Ms. Moon, and Ms. Harrell. We meet monthly to check in on our implementation plan, review data, and discuss next supports and strategies that will best support the scholars in our program!

This year's implementation focus:

  • Visual Schedule posted in all classrooms that is reviewed and referenced daily with scholars
  • Routine use of Positive Descriptive Feedback with scholars and staff
  • Program Wide Expectations (Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible)
  • Implementation of Second Step- A Social Emotional Curriculum
