December 10, 2025: Cancellation of Skagit School Districts’ Legislative Town Hall – December 11, 2025

December 10, 2025

Due to the severe weather emergency impacting our region, we must cancel the Skagit School Districts’ Legislative Town Hall scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 2:30–3:30 PM.

Since last Friday, the Skagit County Districts have been closely monitoring Skagit River levels and predicted peak flows. Current forecasts project river levels exceeding the historic high of 37 feet, with peak flooding expected between 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 11 and 4:00 PM on Friday, December 12.

Given these conditions and the need to prioritize emergency operations, we are unable to host the Legislative Town Hall as planned.

We deeply value the partnership between our districts and our legislative leaders and remain committed to rescheduling this conversation as soon as conditions allow.
