The LMS Express
April 5, 2025
Hello all,
It's been an exciting couple of weeks! Field trips to the HACTC and the Hood Museum have enriched the LMS experience for a number of our students. Our staff works hard to make those and other experiences happen, and the students often recognize those efforts with their appreciation.
We all appreciated the efforts of our Gymnastics team and coaches as we were treated to a performance during an all-school assembly on Friday afternoon. What a show! There are two evening performances next week, open to the public. Please check one out if you can.
April Break is right around the corner, and then we're into the home stretch!
Be Well,
Tom

Food Drive for Listen Center Food Shelf
Hello families,
The student council is putting on a food drive in the month of April. This will be regulated by teams and each of the 3 weeks will be themed. The first week in April will be breakfast foods. The second week will be lunch foods and the third will be dinner foods. We ask that you provide shelf stable food and have your child put the item in to their team box. This is not mandatory but by donation. This will be a friendly competition to see which team can raise the most shelf stable food. The winners will receive a prize at the end of the month. Food donations are for the LMS food pantry. Reach out to the student council with any questions or concerns!

Spruce students have worked diligently over the past month to research local non-profit organizations and create infographics to summarize the incredible contributions these organizations make to the Upper Valley community. Sixth graders presented their research to fifth grade students and teachers in the library last week. These students did a wonderful job sharing their knowledge of ways to help people in our community! Please click here for more pictures!

LMS Senior Servers
Almost every day, 2 LMS students travel to the Upper Valley Senior Center and serve lunch, help clean up, and just bring some youthful energy to the group there. Students are not required to go, but we never have a shortage of volunteers. The folks at the Senior Center consistently report respectful and helpful volunteers. Thank you, students!
