Week of Worship (WOW) Week of Worship (WOW)

This year our WOW theme is "ROOTED", based on Jeremiah 17:7-8. Throughout Week of Worship we learned that we should seek to be ROOTED in God's Word much like a tree is rooted deep in the ground. Messages were provided by a different pastor each day. Students prayed, sang, laughed, and dug deep into God's word. Students also had a chance to make a commitment to be ROOTED in God, by placing a leaf with their name on it on our WOW tree.

Be on the lookout for this year's KAES Monday t-shirt. It was designed around this year's theme "Rooted". It is a beautiful bright green color with our theme's Bible text on the back. Shirts will be sent home on Tuesday. These shirts are provided by our Home and School and can be worn on Mondays and field trips. Be sure to check that your childs size is correct. If you need a different size come by the office and we will try to get you a different size. Parents if you would like a shirt they are also available for $15.

This week will be MAP Growth testing. KAES will assess student learning three times over the year during the fall, winter, and spring. These tests are not tied to grades but we encourage students to give their best. Helping your child to be well rested, encouraged to take their time to do their best, and eating a healthy breakfast.

Class Scramble 2024 Class Scramble 2024

Middle school had their first school spirit event today with the class scramble. It was fun to see all the students dressed in their class colors. It was a very competitive class scramble with the 8th grade coming out of the event with the school spirit trophy. Congratulations 8th grade!

We are sad to say goodbye to Mrs. Luyinda We are sad to say goodbye to Mrs. Luyinda

I am sad to share that Mrs. Luyinda, our reading support teacher and librarian, has finished her last week at KAES. We are sad to see her leave us and appreciate all the support she has provided our students and school. We send her our blessing as she moves to her new position at the Texas Conference.

September statements available September statements available

Thank you everyone for your understanding and flexibility with the September statement of accounts. Statements are available in the office if you have not picked up yours yet. We have had some problems with the addresses in the system and are waiting for the programming team to fix this issue before we can mail statements out. So it may be a while before you receive your statement in the mail.
