MCAS MEDIA CENTERS NEWSLETTER - September 2022
What's New...
New Digital Resources from LaPorte County Public LIbrary
HOOPLA - LPCPL patrons have free access to this digital platform for music, digital video, ebooks, and audio books. What's different about this service is that there are unlimited copies, unlike Overdrive.
LaPorte County Digital Collections - Includes archived digital materials on many topics such as Naomi Anderson, Indiana Water Ways, Belle Gunnes, and others. It also includes a collection of Veterans interviews (great resource for Veterans Day) as well as all of the archived Rogers, Elston, and MCHS yearbooks.
Contact Gwen Hudson, x. 7360, if you need help getting started with your LPCPL teacher account.
Don't forget about AR!
Students and teachers have access to Accelerated Reader through Renaissance Place. Accelerated Reader is an online tool that helps techers manage and monitor children's independent reading practice. AR provides simple quizzes on almost every title of children's books. The link to Ren Place is on the Learning Place page of the MCAS website or in Clever.
