Kohlberg Elementary Newletter
Week of 2-17-25
As we enter testing season, I want to take a moment to recognize the hard work, growth, and dedication of our students, teachers, and families. This time of year is an opportunity for our students to showcase all they have learned, and we are so proud of their efforts!
While assessments are an important tool to measure progress, they do not define our children. We believe in nurturing confident, well-rounded learners who approach challenges with a positive mindset. The best way to support your child during this time is to encourage a good night’s rest, a healthy breakfast, and a reminder that their best effort is what truly matters.
To our families, thank you for your partnership in education. Your encouragement and support at home make all the difference.

Word of the Month--UNIQUENESS!
I so enjoy going to each classroom every month teaching our students about these important values. This month's lesson is particularly close to my heart. It is my sincere hope that every single child that walks into our building every day knows that he/she is UNIQUE--a one-of-kind, special, valuable, important, and loved person who MATTERS to his/her family, friends, classmates, teachers, and community. You may want to share this video with your child and talk to them about the things that make him/her special and unique. (Also available in Spanish!)
We have been learning:
--ALL of us are unique with similarities and differences that make us who we are.
--ALL of us should be TREATED as valuable, special, and important
(so we should be kind and respectful of EVERYONE.)
--We should strive to be the very best that we can be because we are the ONLY ONE OF US. The world needs the unique qualities that only WE can bring.
