District Spotlights in the Wenatchee School District
Mission View
๐ Soft Landing at MV
Mission View Principal Donna Limon and Assistant Principal Ryan Weaver outlined Mission View's Soft Landing initiative for TKโGrade 5. It serves as a gentle transition from home to school to build connections, improve student well-being, and prepare children for academic learning. Overall, the program establishes a sense of belonging and a calm, caring atmosphere to start every school day.
Jim Kuntz - Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority
๐Wenatchee School District Presentation.pdf
Regional Port Authority CEO Jim Kuntz discussed the positive economic impact of new data center developments in the Malaga area and additional development within the Wenatchee School District. Data indicates that as new construction increases the total assessed value within the school district, it helps drive down levy rates, resulting in a lower tax burden for residential homeowners over time. This means the proposed rate of $1.46/$1000 AV for the bond will decrease annually over the next eight years as new big business is added to the tax base.
Board Member Bond Engagement Plan
Board members shared how they would personally support sharing information about the bond in the community.
