Special Kinder 101 Tiger Talk

We are very excited to welcome our incoming 2025-2026 Kindergarten Tigers and their parents and/or guardians for WCHE Kinder 101.

The Kinder 101 will be held in our school Library. We plan to start our meeting at 12:45 pm. When you arrive, please enter through the Library patio gate near the flagpole (watch for our sign!) Kinder students will gather in the Library "classroom" while parents and guardians are visiting and finding seats.

We plan to have a great photo backdrop so that you can take lots of photos. We'll have representatives from our PTO here with Tiger Spirit Wear for purchase. We'll have representatives from our Lake Travis Education Foundation. And, we plan to have an LTISD school bus here so that you can "tour" a bus.

Our Kindergarten teaching team will arrive at the beginning of our Kinder 101 so that we can introduce them to you. Then they'll escort our 2025-2026 Kinder Tigers to visit their new classrooms and to participate in some fun activities.

While our new Tigers are having fun, we'll have an opportunity to share with you some information about our school that we hope you will find reassuring and helpful. We are, also, happy to answer your questions.

Thanks to our fabulous PTO, supplies can be ordered online from schoolkidz at your convenience! The online prepackaged grade level supplies can be ordered through May 30, 2025. If you purchase your student school supplies online, the supplies will be delivered to the school for our "Meet the Teacher" event. Grade appropriate kits are available to order online now. We also have lists of the school supplies for 2025-2026 so that, if you prefer, you can purchase the supplies on your own from any source convenient to you.

If you have a concern about the affordability of school supplies, please feel free to reach out to our School Counselor, Mr. Boren. We often have a limited supply of kits available, and he will be happy to discuss this with you.

iIt is that time of year again where we begin to work on our next school year schedule and class lists. The parent input form for the 25-26 school year is open! In making class assignments, our goal is to place each child in a class where he or she can be most successful.

A secondary goal is to also maintain a balance among classes in terms of gender, academic ability, disciplinary and social needs, learning styles, and individual needs of the students. All information shared is confidential and submitted electronically to West Cypress Hills Elementary administration.

We hope to make classroom assignments that will maximize the opportunity for your child’s success. If you have information you would like to have considered in your child’s placement, please complete and submit this form.
