Dear Students & Parents,

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year! Our teachers and staff have been working hard to ensure a strong, successful start. We are excited for you to feel at home as a valued part of our Spartan school community.

If you missed Open House and/or are unsure of where to report on Monday morning, we will have a table in the cafeteria with Advisory information. All students will start the first half of their day in their Advisory classroom.

You’ll receive a weekly newsletter from me each Sunday with important updates to help you prepare for the week ahead. This first edition is a bit longer, as we want to give you all the key information you’ll need to start the year off right. We welcome partnerships with parents, so please sign up below if you are interested.

• The school day starts at 8:05am and ends at 3:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
• Wednesday is an early release day to allow time for teachers to collaborate on teaching and learning needs. The day starts at 8:05 and ends at 2:10pm on Wednesdays. Car riders will need to be picked up at that time.
• The doors and cafeteria will open beginning at 7:30.
• All students should be picked up within 30 minutes of dismissal.
• For your student’s safety and security, we ask for an ID for all student checkouts. All people checking out students must be the legal guardian or authorized on the “checkout list" from registration. To add a person to the checkout list, please come by the office.
• Please follow our Facebook page and feel free to reach out through Messenger with questions.

• Camp SPARTA Schedule - Students will learn important school procedures and engage in team-building activities to ensure it's a successful start to the school year!

Major text notifications from our principal to parents will automatically include primary guardian in the system. If another parent/guardian or contact would like to receive those notifications, here is how they can sign up:

*This does not apply to School Status texts from teachers. You can reach out to the Advisory teacher to ensure preferred contacts are set up for messages from teachers.

Thank you to everyone who has taken care of the fee already! This covers a variety of supplies, such as paper, pencils, cap erasers, pencil pouches, binders, composition notebooks, take-home folders, IDs/lanyards, markers, colored pencils, expo markers, glue sticks, and earbuds for every child. These materials would cost $40-80 if bought at Walmart or Amazon. Families in significant hardship should reach out to the child's Advisory teacher or counselor.

Please take note of our flow of traffic for car riders. Please do not drop students off at the front doors or use the bus lanes. There will be teachers on duty just inside the doors of the drop-off area (starred below) to greet your student and show them where to go. Please anticipate more car rider traffic on the first day of school.

As the mother of a 13-year old myself, I understand the challenges and celebrations of parenting during the middle school years. I would like to start leaving tips, quotes, and musings to support parents/guardians during this phase. Every family and situation is different. Take it, leave it, or pass it on to others!

If you have a returning student, click here. Any student that has ever attended a school in Springdale School District, including Pre-K, is considered a returning student. Please update your child's information.
