Message from the Principal
Welcome to Quarter 2: Celebrating Success and Moving Forward Together
As we wrap up the first quarter of the school year, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our entire school community. Thank you to our dedicated staff, our supportive families, and our hardworking students for finishing Quarter 1 so strong! Your dedication, resilience, and efforts have set a fantastic foundation for the rest of the year.
As we turn our attention to the second quarter, we have an exciting opportunity to build on this momentum and keep moving forward together. To ensure every student achieves their fullest potential, I want to emphasize two key priorities for Quarter 2:
1. Attendance Matters: Everyday and On Time Consistent attendance is vital to student success. Being at school every day and arriving on time ensures that students do not miss essential instruction, guided practice, and valuable interactions with teachers and peers. Every instructional minute counts. We ask families to partner with us by prioritizing daily attendance and establishing morning routines that help students arrive promptly each morning.
2. Protecting Our Learning Environment: Our primary goal is to maintain a safe, welcoming, and productive environment where every student can learn without distraction. As we enter this new quarter, we are placing a strong emphasis on eliminating behaviors that disrupt classroom instruction and student learning. We expect all students to respect classroom rules, stay focused on learning, and support a positive academic atmosphere. When learning time is protected, everyone succeeds.
Thank you once again for your ongoing partnership and support. Let’s make Quarter 2 our best one yet!

Learn More about the No-New-Millage Bond Issue 6 on Nov. 3 Ballot
On November 3, 2026, South Western City Schools will present a No-New-Millage Bond Issue on the ballot—our first since 2018. Focused on high school facility improvements for grades 9–12, this measure will not raise the district tax rate, which has remained constant since 2009. Approval of this initiative allows SWCS to execute Segment 3 of its long-range facilities plan while securing approximately

- New High Schools: Constructing brand-new facilities for Grove City High School and Westland High School.
- Expanded Career Tech: Addressing waitlists at the South Western Career Academy.
- Targeted Upgrades: Investing in facility and athletic enhancements for Central Crossing High School and Franklin Heights High School.
