THE FRIDAY FORECAST
JANUARY 19TH - 23RD
Dear Mustangs,
Happy Friday, Mustangs! We wish you all a wonderful long weekend.
This Monday as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we reflect on his lasting influence on education and the important role schools play in shaping thoughtful, engaged citizens. Dr. King believed education should empower students to think critically, seek understanding, and engage respectfully with ideas that may differ from their own. He emphasized listening, dialogue, and learning from one another as essential skills in a diverse society. We honor his legacy by encouraging our students to use their voices with purpose, approach differences with respect, and contribute positively to their school and broader community.
On January 24, we will be hosting our Winter Formal. Information is listed below with important parking instructions and other pertinent information regarding this event. Students must arrive by 7:30 p.m. and may not leave before 8:30 p.m. All students must be picked up no later than 10:00 p.m. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening.
Thank you to ASB for a fantastic Branding Iron Week. It was wonderful to see such strong school spirit and positive representation of our Mustang pride. It truly is great to be a Mustang.
My best,
Mrs. Jamie G. Norell
Principal

This process is completed in the Spring for the upcoming school year. Students are screened to make sure that they will be responsible, empathetic, good listeners, non-judgmental, be able to work well within the group, appeal to a segment of the school population to reach as much diversity as possible, are interested in self-growth and able to keep things they hear confidential. Peer Counseling is an elective course that is University of California A-G approved.
