Facilities Planning Committee
The Facilities Planning Committee met for the second time last night. This meeting was held at Gainesville Junior High and included presentations from our Director of Finance, Dr. Jon Hill, and our GISD Financial Advisor Doug Whitt. They went into detail on school finance as a whole, GISD finances, and our GISD bond history and current bond capacity. The meeting wrapped up with a facilities needs vs wants exercise with the facilities needs that the committee collectively determined at the last meeting.

This week GJH students took a virtual journey into Anne Frank's world! With VR headsets, students explored the hiding place that held so much history. Those waiting for their turn participated in a lively discussion, answering thought-provoking questions about Anne's diary that they've been reading together. It was incredible to see how technology brought her story to life and sparked such meaningful conversations among the students! Even Dr. Stewart joined in the fun!
