H.L. Lubker Elementary

Dear H.L. Lubker Families,

We have had another wonderful week at H.L. Lubker Elementary! Our students are settling into routines, and the excitement for learning is shining in every classroom. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to make this a great year for our Bulldogs.

No School Reminder
We will be out of school on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day, and out of school on Tuesday, September 3, for a staff PLC day. Classes will resume on Wednesday, September 4.

Pick Up & Drop Off Reminders

In the mornings, please stop before the crosswalk and have your child ready to exit quickly at the drop-off spot.
The gate closes at 7:55 a.m. If you arrive after that time, please check your child in through the office.
In the afternoons, K–1 parents should pull all the way up to the staff member waving you forward, this helps us load more cars at a time. Grades 2–5 should continue around by the auditorium for pick up.

House System Update
Our 1st–5th graders have now been sorted into their Houses, and the energy around this new tradition is contagious! We are so excited to see how it will help build community, leadership, and school spirit. Kindergarten will be sorted later this fall once they’ve had time to learn more about the House system. House points will start being awarded after Labor Day!

Looking Ahead
Next week, we’ll continue digging into our learning routines, small groups, and WIN time. We are also keeping a close eye on the weather. Please remember that with construction in progress, we do not have a covered walkway between buildings. Rain boots, jackets, or ponchos may help your child stay dry on wet days.

A huge shout out to our Kindergarten team! 🌟 These teachers are the very first stop on our Bulldogs’ learning journey, and they pour their hearts into helping our youngest students feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. From morning greetings to building strong foundations in reading, math, and social skills—they do it all with patience and joy.

Morning Drop Off

We would love for you to scan your receipts for Box Tops to help our school earn money. You can also connect your Wal-Mart app to Box Top and it will get your box tops added for you.

Parents: Here is a great video of parents from Ron Clark Academy explaining the House System. This is where the House System was created. This is what is happening at our school starting this year. Our staff has been sorted and last Friday 1st-5th grades were sorted . (Kindergarten will be sorted a little later.)
