Knot Alone Project - Brooklyn Wolthoff
Brooklyn Wolthoff, a Riceville junior, is the essence of the R Factor. Brooklyn has created the Knot Alone Project to give back to those in need. Here is her story…
KNOT ALONE…YOU ARE STRONG LIKE A KNOT
My name is Brooklyn Wolthoff and I am a teen girl with chronic illnesses. During a stay at a Ronald McDonald House, I was given a tie blanket and it gave me comfort. At the start of the school year, my teacher asked us what we wanted to do this year. I decided I want to help others feel comfortable. I then started the Knot Alone Project. I am making tie blankets to give to others to feel comfort. When you look at the knots in the tie blanket, remember you are Knot Alone. Remember knots are strong and so are you. To learn more, go to the Knot Alone Project on Instagram.
Brooklyn and her peers have already made twelve blankets to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. If you would like to donate fabric to the Knot Alone Project, please contact Darcy Fair at darcy.fair@riceville.k12.ia.us or 641.985.2288.
