A Note from the Principal
October is such a special time in our school year. The leaves are changing, routines are settled, and our students are growing more confident every day. As I walk through the halls and visit classrooms, I’m reminded just how fortunate we are to be part of such an incredible school community.
Our students benefit daily from the support of dedicated staff, caring families, and a community that truly values education. Whether it’s volunteering at events, encouraging learning at home, or simply showing up with kindness and support, your involvement makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping make St Paul a place where every child feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to learn. I’m proud of the work we’re doing together and excited for all that’s ahead this school year.

A Friendly Reminder About Athletics Events
We love seeing younger siblings and friends come out to support St. Paul athletics! Their energy and enthusiasm add so much to the excitement of our games.
We do want to remind families that if students 5th grade and younger attend athletic events, the expectation is that they remain with their parents or guardian throughout the event. 6th through 8th graders are expected to sit and watch the event rather than move around the school grounds. They may either sit with their parents, or all together in a group. This helps ensure their safety and security and also allows us to keep our facilities in top-notch condition for everyone to enjoy.
This expectation also applies to any community groups or organizations using St. Paul facilities.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we work together to make all athletic events safe, enjoyable, and welcoming for everyone.
A Note About Lunches From Home
We kindly ask that families pack lunches their students can independently manage during lunchtime. If your child’s lunch requires the use of the microwave, please take a moment to practice with them at home so they know how to heat it up on their own.
Unfortunately, we do not have staff available to assist students in preparing or heating food brought from home.
Thank you for your understanding and support in helping lunch time run smoothly and safely for everyone!

Basketball Tournament Try-outs 🏀
Basketball Season is right around the corner!
If you have an athlete that would like to supplement their Middle School, or CPRD basketball season, this is a great opportunity to do that! There will be two try-out sessions to come show off their skills, and coaches will evaluate how many kids we have, and the skill range, to appropriately place kids on teams.
This is open to athletes outside of St. Paul to participate in, however, if numbers are too large, in-district athletes will get priority.
Important dates:
MS Girls Regular Season - Oct 20-December
MS Boys Regular Season - January-Feb
CPRD Recreational Teams (K-8)- Jan-Feb
Tournament Play - 4-6 Tournaments Nov-Mar
The tournament play is designed to be more competitive than regular season or rec play, and meant to fill in schedule “gaps” so that kids aren’t going months between seasons without staying active.
Please reach out if you have any questions! Email stpaulyouthhoops@gmail.com
