If your student is leaving early (for example on a party day), make sure that you check them out from the front office or with your child's teacher if they have a sign-out sheet in the classroom. Thank you for helping keep all of our students safe!

You may have noticed some of the staff in different types of festive dress the last couple weeks for fun before the holidays. Wednesday is Grinch Day at Murchison and we wanted to invite the students to participate as well. Feel free to allow your child to dress like a Grinch character on Wednesday to participate with us!

Ms. Grillo is so excited to share that we have the amazing opportunity to host New York Times bestselling author/illustration Nick Bruel, creator of the Bad Kitty series, on Thursday, January 16th at Murchison for our 1st through 4th graders! I know our students will be so excited to meet and learn from such a popular author!

Nick will be sharing about his brand new book Bad Kitty: Party Animal! Please note: only 1st through 4th grades will be invited due to time and space constraints. Thank you for understanding if you have kiddos in other grade levels! We will have more fun live events coming soon for them!

Our next awards assembly will be held on Friday, January 17. You will know if your child is getting an award because their teacher will reach out to you or you will see that they made all A's on their report card. 2nd-5th grade report cards will be available in the Skyward Portfolio on Tuesday, January 14.

Students who receive an award will get a dog tag. If your child received a dog tag previous years or earlier this year, feel free to have them wear the chain to school on awards assembly day. That way they can display their previous achievements and add another dog tag to the chain if they get another one!

7:50-8:05 -- 5th grade

8:10-8:25 -- 4th grade

8:30-8:45 -- 3rd grade

8:55-9:15 -- 2nd grade

9:20-9:40 -- 1st grade

9:45-10:05 -- Kindergarten

Hello MES Families!

The MES PTO & Library are excited to welcome you to our Holiday Gift Market featuring a Pop Up Book Fair hosted by Literati in the MES Library from December 16-19th!

Here is all the info you need to know:

• PTO will be selling pre-wrapped gifts that students can purchase. Cash only! Please send cash in a special bag or envelope with your student's name.
• The library will be hosting a LITERATI Book Fair (Please note: This is NOT a Scholastic fair. Scholastic E-wallet funds WILL NOT be able to be used for this event). The Book Fair will take cash, cards and digital gift card funds (like an ewallet!) >>

• To start shopping and setting up online funds through gift cards hop online CLICK HERE. All purchases benefit our school!
• Students will be able to preview on Friday and shop if they have money. Parents will NOT be allowed to shop Friday.
• Parents can shop Dec.16-19 before school or during lunch with students. The shop will be closing at 10:30 on Thursday, Dec 19th.
• Wednesday, Dec 18th we will be hosting a late night event for shopping from 5:30-7:30, while also showing the Grinch movie in the cafeteria at 6! Dinner will be available for purchase.

We’re thrilled to announce that the MES Campus Science Fair will take place on January 13th! This year, we have over 90 incredible campus projects, with 55 of those competing for a chance to advance to regionals in February.

We are currently seeking judges to help evaluate these projects. Please consider judging the event by using the link below.
