Student Handbook Reminders
Outside Food and Drinks
At University High School and Tolleson Union High School, our goal is to maintain a safe, orderly, and focused learning environment for all students. Both schools will enforce the district’s existing Student Handbook policy regarding outside food and beverages on campus.
Students who arrive late and check in through the Front Office or enter through the West Gate will not be permitted to bring food or beverages from outside vendors onto campus without prior administrative approval. This includes items purchased from restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and other outside establishments.
Students who arrive with unauthorized outside food or beverages will be asked to:
- Consume the food or beverage before entering campus; or
- Discard the food or beverage before being admitted to campus.
This expectation aligns with the Student Handbook, which states that food from outside vendors is not permitted on campus without prior administrative approval and that food and beverage deliveries for students will not be accepted.
We appreciate your support in ensuring that your child arrives at school prepared to learn and follows campus expectations. By working together, we can minimize disruptions to the school day and maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
