WHS Scheduling & Counselor Update

Student schedules will be available on Tuesday, August 29 at 10AM.

Please visit https://powerschl.watertown.k12.ma.us/ and log in using the username and password you were provided in the Spring. If you have forgotten your PowerSchool credentials, please contact Mrs. Linda Tracy (linda.tracy@watertown.k12.ma.us).

Your schedule was built based on the course requests you provided during the course selection process last year. If you believe there is an error with your schedule or would like to discuss it with your school counselor, please email them (contact information is below). Many questions can be addressed via email, but the Guidance department will also be available to meet with students via Zoom on Monday, Wednesday afternoon, and Thursday. Please contact Mrs. Tracy or your school counselor to schedule an appointment.

I would also like to remind you of our Add/Drop procedure. No schedule changes will be made between the 1st and 7th days of school. During the Add/Drop Period (September 14-22), changes to student schedules will be made under the following conditions:

1. Student receives written permission from the teacher, the curriculum coordinator, and their parent/guardian. Students should obtain the appropriate form in Guidance.

2. The courses being exchanged occur during the same scheduled block during the day.

3. The courses being exchanged will not be over/under-enrolled due to the student's departure or arrival in the course.

You are strongly encouraged to review your schedule as soon as possible and communicate with your school counselor before the first day of school if you have any questions or are considering any changes. A change may be made to your schedule between now and the first day of school if classes need to be balanced or an error has been made, but we will do our best to avoid any additional changes.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Sharon Lee and Ms. Chaiyanne Monteiro-Dobson to the WHS Guidance team as our new counselors. We thank Ms. Kimberly Osborne and Mr. Fabian Rivera for their years of supporting WHS students and families.

Because we have added a fifth full-time school counselor position to the Guidance team, counselor caseloads have shifted. Please see the updated counselor assignments below. All counselors will be sending introductory emails to their students and families in the coming days. Please be in touch if you have any questions. We are looking forward to supporting your students!
