August 2026 Update #2
Message From the Principals
Hello MHE Families,
We want to give a huge shout-out to the entire MHE Community for showing up and showing out last night at Open House! It was truly wonderful to see our students back in the building, reconnect with familiar faces, and welcome our families as we begin another exciting school year together. The energy and excitement throughout the building were a wonderful reminder of what makes our MHE so special.
We would also like to take a moment to extend a BIG thank you to the incredible community partners, staff, families, and organizations who continue to support our students and staff. Your generosity and thoughtfulness make such a meaningful difference!
A special thank you goes to:
- Grace Communion Cincinnati for their generous donations, including a kidney table, sensory room items, and much-needed back-to-school supplies. Your support will directly benefit our students and help make our learning environment even more welcoming and supportive.
- MHUMC for providing a delicious breakfast for our staff on Wednesday. Your kindness helped us start the school year feeling appreciated, energized, and ready to serve our students and families.
- Our amazing MHE PTA for all of your incredible back-to-school support, including providing lunch for our staff yesterday. We are so grateful for the many ways you show up for our school and help make MHE such a special place for our students, families, and staff.
It truly takes a village to create a strong and supportive school community, and we are so grateful to have such an amazing village surrounding MHE. Thank you for partnering with us, supporting our students, and helping us kick off the school year on such a positive note!
As we settle into the new school year, please be sure to review the information below carefully, as there will be important updates, reminders, and upcoming events to help keep everyone informed and connected. As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Thank you again for helping make the start of this school year so wonderful. We are looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, growing, and building memories together!
Have a great one!
Mrs. Lowe & Mr. Whitaker

Fee Waver Application
Hello MHE Parents
We are strongly encouraging you to complete the fee waiver application form! If you are eligible you could possibly have this year's fees waived. Free status only applies to lunch fees UNLESS the parent properly completes the application and selects the “Share Information" option. You only had until June 30th to have last year's fees waived, unfortunately past/prior year fees can not be waived at this point. Please see Mrs. Yates in the front office if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Building Information
- Student arrival is daily between 8:30am and 8:50am. MHE staff supervision is not available before 8:30am. Students that arrive after 8:50am will be marked tardy.
- Y's Kids morning and after school care is available through Clippard YMCA (513-923-4466)
- Please refrain from dropping your student off in the main parking lot between 8:30am - 8:50am. This lot is for bus drop off only.
- If you plan on having your child eat school breakfast, please try to have them here closer to 8:30am. All students that arrive at school after 9am will be asked to get their breakfast from the cafeteria and report to their class to eat. TEACHING WILL BEGIN AT 9AM!
- Please refrain from picking your student up in the main office between 3:15-3:45. Parent pick up is at the back gate using your car tag. The front lot is for bus loading only.
- If you are in need of an updated car tag for the 26/27 school year, please see Mr. Smith in the main office. If you do not have a car tag, you must have a photo ID AND be listed in the student's file as authorized to pick up.
- Breakfast and Lunch are both FREE this year! If however, you would like to have your child(ren)’s school instructional fees waived, you must submit an Educational Benefits or Household Income survey to determine fee waiver eligibility. You may complete the survey through the Infinite Campus parent portal.
- Additional items can be purchased using funds that have been added to student accounts. (Snack/chip bags, ice cream, cookies, fruit-roll-ups, etc.) CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED IN THE CAFETERIA. Funds are ONLY to be used by the student whom the account belongs to. Students are not permitted to purchase items for classmates.
- Please do not send your child in the morning with coffee drinks or breakfast items from fast food locations (McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin, etc.). Students do need to finish these things before coming into school and should not be bringing them to class or the cafeteria.
- Please do not drop fast food off to students in the middle of the day. In the event of this, your child will be asked to eat in the office instead of with their class in the cafeteria.
