I just want to take a moment to recognize how proud I am of our families and the level of commitment you show to our students every single day. As I reflect over our week, the word kindness fills my heart. We have such a kind and gentle group of students. This week’s Turkey Kindness Campaign—led so thoughtfully by Micah Ellis—was a perfect reminder of the heart of our building culture. Walking the halls and seeing the kind notes and gestures outside classroom doors before Thanksgiving truly reflected the care, positivity, and community that each and every parent, student and staff member brings to East Minico. I absolutely love the support and sportsmanship our parents bring to our events! Your presence in the stands matters more than you know. Our students see you there, cheering them on, and it builds a school culture where kids feel valued, supported, and believed in. Furthermore, they are supported in social development by watching parents serve as terrific role models.

As we head into the final stretch of the semester, I want to gently but firmly remind students that we are officially in crunch time. With no summer school or credit recovery options, passing core classes now is more important than ever. We all know that December 1st is not the time to start scrambling to make up missing work when only two weeks remain. Let’s work together to keep expectations clear, communication strong, and accountability high. Thank you for everything you do to lift our students, our school, and each other. We finish strong because of the strength and dedication each of you brings every day.
