UIL Academic Meet

Booker T. Washington Elementary captured first place in the Elgin ISD UIL Academic Meet on Jan. 20 at Elgin Middle School. Our thanks to our students and parents who assisted in any way.

Information for School Funding

It is important for families to continue sharing household income information in order for our schools to receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to.

We are asking all families to fill out the free and reduced lunch application to see if you qualify and so that the state can have accurate information regarding our free and reduced lunch numbers so we can be funded correctly. If families do not fill out the free and reduced lunch applications, our school and district can lose out on important state funding that our school and students benefit from.

STAAR Field Test

On Monday, Feb. 5, Elgin Intermediate will be participating in a STAAR stand-alone field test.

We recommend students get plenty of rest the night before and arrive to school on time.

The field test will include the following grades/subjects and courses:

All students who are enrolled in an assigned grade or course at Elgin Intermediate and who are scheduled to take the corresponding STAAR assessment in spring 2024 should participate in the stand-alone field test.

Thank you for your support. Please contact our EIS office if you have any questions.

After-school Tutorials

Elgin Intermediate offers after-school tutorials on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Students must be picked up by 5 p.m.; bus transportation is not provided.

Students should check to see which teachers are available for tutoring.
