Hornet Families

We had a great time at our recent Family Engagement Night. Our 21st Century SWARM staff partnered with our current Literacy Grant and put on a night to remember. Thank you to all the teachers, community organizations, and our Family and Consumer Science Class for a wonderful evening of food, fun and fellowship.

Black out Poetry was a huge hit at our Literacy Night. Individuals made some funny poems!

Families made storytelling bracelets and homemade bookmarks at the Fantasy Station.

Students won prizes as they played "Name that Genre Bingo!"

Students enjoyed homemade book pillows, along with a new book and some candy!

Hornet Nation is pleased to have a national guest speaker with us on Oct. 30th here in the Hornet Arena. Students will hear Chaz Perez speak during the day, sharing his story of hope and resilience. That evening we are providing a fall carnival for kids in the Community Center so parents can go hear Chaz speak. Activities and supper will be provided for Colcord Students (while supplies last). Don't miss this great evening and engaging speaker. See flyer below for details.

We have lots of things planned for our upcoming Red Ribbon Week here at Colcord Schools. Together we want to share the important message of Drug Free Living! Our DFY (Drug Free Youth) Club will be leading this message with activities and posters throughout our district.

Career Day is one of our favorite days of the year here in Hornet Nation. We love exposing our students to the many opportunities that await them in the future. This year, we are focusing on Agriculture and the diverse careers within this field.

Colcord Schools is committed to helping your child succeed! We know there will be challenging days but we exist to help every child be their very best, both within and outside the classroom! As we partner together with you, know we are always here to help!
