Wolman Elementary Newsletter
October 22, 2026
News from Ms. Ricks, Principal
Hello, Explorer Families!
What a wonderful week it has been at Wolman Elementary! We had a fantastic Red Ribbon Week, filled with fun activities and important reminders about making healthy, positive choices. Our Trunk or Treat event last Friday was also a huge success! It was wonderful to see so many of our Explorer families come together for an evening of fun and community. A special thank you to our PTA and everyone who helped make this event so memorable for our students!
As a reminder, there will be no school for students tomorrow, Friday, October 23, as our staff participates in professional learning and parent conferences. If you have a scheduled conference, please enter through the school's front doors, where our front office staff will direct you. Parent-teacher conferences are a valuable opportunity to celebrate student growth, discuss progress, and collaborate on ways to support continued success. We truly value the strong school-home partnerships that help our Explorers thrive!
School pictures are now available! Families can visit mylifetouch.com to log in or create an account and check for their child's photos. You will need your child's Student ID or Portrait ID and Access Code to access their pictures. This information may be found in an email from Lifetouch or on the proof sheet sent home. If you need additional assistance, please contact the Lifetouch Help Center. Please keep in mind that pictures may become available at different times, so check back if your child's photos are not yet posted.
As always, please take a few moments to read through the remaining sections of our newsletter for important campus and district updates, upcoming events, helpful reminders, and the latest PTA news. There is always something exciting happening at Wolman, and we want our families to stay connected and informed! Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to making Wolman Elementary such a special place for our Explorers to learn and grow.

Procedures Regarding Lunch Visitors
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B44AFAD2EA5FEC61-50123640-wolman#/
Lunch is a fun, social time of day for our Explorers! Any parents who wish you attend lunch may use the link above to sign up. As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the lunch visitor permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student (non school age children are counted as visitors). Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings.
Here are some reminders for when lunch visits begin...PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly. The following steps will guide you in signing up for lunch times to visit your child and with providing lunch visitor permission. Please call 281 234 1700 with any questions. Thank you!
Step 1:
Please sign up for date/time of lunch visit here: Link
If needed...
Step 2:
For immediate family visitors (limited to grandparents, non-school aged siblings, and stepparents) who are NOT the parents/guardians the online Lunch Visitor form must be filled out by the parent/guardian BEFORE the lunch visit. Link
