Growing Together @ STL
February 4th, 2026
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we look ahead to the coming days, I would like to remind everyone that there will be no school for students over the next two days as our teachers attend a professional teaching convention. This time of learning and collaboration allows our faculty to continue growing in their vocation and to better serve our students in the classroom.
As we prepare for Sunday, February 8, we are reminded through the Gospel of the call to live with faith, compassion, and trust in God’s guidance. May this message inspire us to reflect on how we can bring kindness and love into our daily lives, both at home and in our community.
I wish all of our students, families, and staff a wonderful and restful extended weekend. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the week ahead.

Principal, St Luke

Faith Integration
Each year, the St. Luke Parent Association provides staff and students with a pancake lunch on Shrove Tuesday. We are looking for volunteers who have availability on February 17th. You are welcome to help out for the whole morning or come when it works best for you. Please email stlukeparentcouncileics@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer. Please also reach out if you have an electric griddle we can use for the morning.
Children's Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Preparation at OLPH. Our fall sessions are starting up this month and the children will celebrate these sacraments in December. (We also have support for families who wish to have their children Baptized, to "open the door" to these other sacraments.
Our parish is very grateful for the partnership of our Catholic Schools in the faith formation of our young people and their families! A personal email from the school Principal, the faith leader of the school, could make a special impact on families and encourage them to bring their children here to the Church for their sacraments. It could also be extremely helpful if the Grade 2-4 Homeroom Teachers would personally send parents a message about First Communion & Reconciliation for their children, and if Grade 6-8 Teachers could do so for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Thank you for everything you do!
